The 30 Day Ruleย

Hey everyone! Happy Monday ๐Ÿ˜€

I hope that you all are having a great day/night depending on when you are reading this

In continuation of my Money Saving September series, I want to offer you all another way to help save some cash.

This option is called the 30 Day Rule and it is very simple and easy to do and can help those who spend on an impulse.

How It Works:

When you have the urge to splurge on things that you really do not need such as, clothes, shoes, makeup, etc. You hold off on buying them. You make a note reminding you of the item and wait for 30 days to go back and see if you really need/want that item.

Usually after not having the item that you thought you needed you realize that you really do not need it. Which results in you saving money on something that you probably didn’t need in the first place.

The whole point of the 30 Day Rule is to stop us from impulse spending. I mean we all do it. Me included. We go to a store and see a pair of shoes and instantly think that we just got to have them.  When in reality we already have shoes at home that we rarely wear.
I hope this helps you guys with saving some cash. Let me guy know what you all think about it in the comment section.

  1. This is such a great idea! I’m guilty of impulse buying as well, and sometimes I do try and think how much I don’t need the item I desperately want (which doesn’t always work lol). Although, I’m definitely going to keep this in mind the next time I go shopping hahaa โ˜บ๏ธ

    1. Lol. It’s so easy to buy on an impulse. I’m sure we all do it, I know I do lol. The 30 Day Rule is a great way to really think about if you need the item or not. Thanks for reading ๐Ÿ˜„

  2. This sounds interesting. I’m not an impulsive buyer but there are still some things I buy I believe can wait. I would apply this rule to cage me more ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Lol. This would work with that too. We all buy things that we don’t necessarily need. Great way to save some extra coins ๐Ÿ˜„

  4. i’m so good at this I end up doing it with stuff I do need. As in, “I don’t really need this shampoo right now. Maybe later.” I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work…. ๐Ÿ˜€
