Hey everyone, happy Tuesday 😃
I know some of you read the title and thought, “wait, what!? A time out for Mom.” Well just wait one second and let me explain.
No, I am not talking about an actual time out. You know the ones where we would have to go and stand in a corner and reflect on what got us there in the first place. I’m talking about taking a break from being a Mom and clearing our mind. No, this break doesn’t need to be a full day, just enough time away from the kids where you can think about something other then being a mom.
There is nothing wrong with “time outs”. They are very much needed, if you ask me. Doing things away from your children and being a parent, helps to create balance in your life. It took me awhile to get to the point where I was comfortable with telling my husband that I need a little break. He always encourages me to take them.
I want all the moms out there to know them at there is absolutely nothing with doing something for yourself without feeling guilty. I want us all to take this breaks and enjoy them. Just think about it, when we return we will be refreshed and ready to play! 😄
Please comment below and let me know how you like to spend your “time outs” away from the kids 😊
Until next time…stay positive!

For me, laying out in the backyard with zero noise is SO relaxing! Mommy time outs are the best!

My husband works a lot and we don’t live close to family, so I don’t get much Alone time to get away, But the time i get to myself would be when hes asleep and i get to just lay in bed watching my favorite Netflix shows/ you tube videos uninterrupted ! Its the little things lol 🙂

I’m totally agree with you, time outs are a necessity. My favourite time outs are when hubby takes the kids out in the morning and I get to sleep in and then have a quiet coffee and breakfast. Otherwise I love to just sit down and watch Netflix with my favourite snack with no interruptions.

Yes!! I’m home with my kids all day and, luckily, my husband totally gets it when I say I need a bit. They are wonderful, but sometimes, you just need some time to recharge a little!

I agree, you just need a little time to regroup sometimes. I’m blessed that my husband is very understanding and doesn’t mind me taking the time I need for myself

I’m a stay at home mum too, and I agree, we need time out. I mostly use my timeouts to sleep, I go to bed so early and wake up early so I have time to think and sleep and do my facials

I’m a sahm myself and my “timeouts” are usually when my two are in school. It it definitely important to have those few moments to gather yourself.

Time Out?!!! What’s that?!! Ain’t nobody got time for that! LMBO!!!
In all seriousness though, I agree 100% that a mother needs to take a moment’s peace away from their kids, ESPECIALLY a SAHM! The examples you stated above are great starters for Mommies that aren’t sure what to do in that time (unlike me who will use a Time Out to continue doing housework and/or working period LOL)! Definitely passing this info on to other Moms I know!
Great article!

Lol. Boo! Don’t use your free time for housework. Lol. But yes, we all need a little time to ourselves just to breathe. Thanks for reading 😊
