Don’t Forget About Thanksgiving!

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. I hope that you all are having a wonderful day!

I know that the holidays are fast approaching and everyone is busy writing their Christmas list and checking it twice. I know that we all are excited to spend time with family and see their faces when we exchange gifts. I have to admit that I’m super exited for Christmas this year too.

For starters, my son will actually know what’s going on and I can wait to see him on Christmas Day playing with his gifts. I mean how can you not be waiting for the most anticipated holiday of the year.

Christmas is everywhere. When you turn on the TV you will see plenty of Christmas commercials. When you go to your favorite, you will see plenty of festive items to decorate your house with.

But what about Thanksgiving. Let’s not forget the Thanksgiving holiday.

For me, this is the holiday that is truly about spending with family. Getting together with loved ones, eating some really good food, and remembering all of the things that we are thankful for.

It’s seems like Thanksgiving is severely overshadowed by Christmas and it shouldn’t be that why at all. Just like I’m looking forward to Christmas, I am excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family this year as well.

Comment below and let me know how you celebrate Thanksgiving!

Until next time….stay positive!

  1. Yes! I feel the exact same way. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and all the stores put out Christmas stuff so early, people forget about Thanksgiving. Normally, we just have Thanksgiving with immediate family at my parents’ house, but this year, we are traveling two hours away to have Thanksgiving with my fiance and his mom and brothers. It will be different, but this will just be a small step in the big change of adding on to family. Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!

  2. Remember that not everyone has family. New York city has thousands of homeless people living on the streets and in the subways. Also hundreds of families and singles in the shelter system.
The holidays can be a depressed time for those living alone or people who have had deaths in their families. Even the death of a beloved pet can send those who are abandoned and alone into a tailspin.
When you’re young you don’t consider those things but once you get older life changes.
As for me I will stay home and sleep. Most of my family died years ago and the others live too far away. Staying home will enable me to save money.
My roommate and I might share tea at the coffee shop across the street. He is like me. Once your parents die then holiday celebration goes out the window.

  5. I agree! I wait until the Sunday after Thanksgiving to put up the tree each year. (We decorate while watching football.)

  7. We do a big Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom’s house every year. Last night, my brother, his wife and their 4 kids showed up to surprise us that they’ll be joining us this year! They drove 17 hours straight so we’re very excited!

  8. I’m not a big holiday person however I find myself excited because I have a one year and she is pointing out things she likes in general so I can’t wait until she opens her toys.
