Hey y’all. I know it’s been awhile since you all have gotten a post from me but I’ve been kinda busy. As some of you may or may not know, I went on a 2 week social media detox ( you can read more about that ) and soon after returning from that my husband and I went on a vacation.

This was our first time being away from our son for a long period of time and it was hard for us at first. He stayed with my mother while we were away and from the pictures she sent me and the phone calls from her, I know he had a blast. We don’t live near my mother so it was nice for them to spend some quality time together.

It was also nice for my husband and I to have a few days to ourselves and boy did we have a great time vacationing in exciting Las Vegas! The strip was a sight to see at night and we had fun exploring during the day. Also, we ate some great food while we was there too. Our goal was to do things and eat things that we could not do in Indiana and we accomplished just that.

Vegas was fun and I am already looking forward to our next vacation with just the two of us. Next time I’m thinking somewhere out of the country.

Until next time… stay positive!

  1. Sounds like a great vacation. My girlfriends and I went to Las Vegas in the early 2000s. It was one of the best vacations I ever had. I’m not a gambler but I did win $200 from the one armed bandits. We stayed at the MGM Grand. We also took a trip to the Grand canyon which was amazing! All in all fabulous!
I followed your lead and am doing a semi social media fast. Actually when my laptop died that was my inspiration to cut back. No Facebook. Just Instagram and Blogging. Most of which I do on My days off work. I have noticed an improvement in my sleep without the social media distractions. I even turned off several of the notifications on my cell phone for delicious peace and quiet! 😀😁😃😄😆😉😊

    1. Oh wow! Seems like you had fun in Vegas as well. Are you planning to visit again? I didn’t win any money but I sure did spend lol. A social media detox is a great way to regroup. I never thought to turn off my notifications, that’s a great idea. Thanks for stopping by! 😊
