Hey y’all hey! Happy Monday.
It’s summer and the kids are well into summer break if you have school age kids. Or maybe, you have a busy toddler that you still need to keep busy. Lol. I am always looking for fun activities to do with my son without breaking the bank. If you have been following my blog for quite sometime, then you already know that I love a good deal and love to do and/or get things for free whenever I can.
I have compiled a list of FREE activities that you can do with the kids this summer. Kids just want to have fun and these activities are sure to deliver just that!

- The Library
Most libraries everywhere offer FREE summer programs. These programs include arts and crafts, movie days, and even field trips. Check with your local library to see what kind of activities they have to offer.
2. Tour Local Businesses
Many of the businesses in your community offer tours that end with freebies to take home! Most pizzerias offer a tour of the kitchen and let kids make there own pizza! Also, if you live in a place with candy or toy factories make sure to check them out for tours as well.
3. Free Art & Culture
Zoos, botanical gardens, aquariums, and children’s museums have plenty of free activities for kids if you attend on certain days. Even the museums that charge for entry will offer free classes, tours, and/ or arts & crafts during the summer specifically for kids.
4. Chain Stores
Stores such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Home Depot offer free weekend project workshops for kids. Great way for kids to have some hands on fun during the summer.
5. The Great Outdoors
Kids love to play outside. Whether it’s playing at the playground, taking a hike, or exploring the neighborhood, kids love being outside in the sun. This has to be the greatest, cheapest way for children to have fun during the summer.
Comment below and share with me some activities you enjoy with your kid(s) during the summer.
Until next time…stay positive!
