Children’s Book Review: The Elephants and the chocolate cake

Hey guys!

I’m doing a new series on my blog where I will be reviewing children books. My son loves when I read to him and I have crime across some really good books and I would love to share them with you all.

Recently I had the opportunity to connect with some amazing authors who have given me their books to review. I will be adding these books to my sons collection and giving you all a review. Hopefully you will get these books for your children as well.

The Elephants and the chocolate Cake by Balachander Vijayakumar. Illustrated by Janani Balachander

About the book:

This wonderful book opens with an invitation to a blues nose elephant’s 3rd birthday party. His name is Poco. Poco has two friends, Loco and Toco, who are very different from each other but are the best of friends. The three jolly elephants go on an small adventure via bus through London to help Poco find a chocolate cake that is big enough for a elephant.

My review:

This book is amazing and my son and I both loved it! The illustrations throughout the book are great and kept my son engaged. Before I could finish the book he was tell me that he wanted a chocolate cake for his next birthday! The Elephants and the Chocolate Cake, shows children that everyone is different but that shouldn’t stop us from all being friends. I give this book 2 thumbs up and recommend it anyone with young children.
