Hey guys heyyy!

One big, exciting thing that happened while I was away was my son turn 3. I’m that mom that is overly excited for birthdays and this one was no different. I’m just blessed to have a awesome son that I get to witness grow everyday.

This year he was very vocal about his birthday. Since he’s been born I’ve always made the decisions about how we would spend his special day but this year he had plans of his own. He told us that he wanted to go to the infamous Chuck E. Cheese, and get toys, and balloons. Of course, we made sure that we did just that and got him his toys and balloons.

All of this just made me realize that my son is growing up. He is starting to become independent and voice his opinions on certain things. This was a bitter sweet moment for me because it seems like yesterday I was just holding him in my arms. Soon he will be heading off to school. I’m sure I will cry fat crocodile tears when that day comes.

On another note, his birthday was a success and he enjoyed himself, which makes me happy. Do any of you, that are parent have bitter sweet moments when realizing that your kid/kids are getting older? It’s a beautiful thing but I’m sure I’m not the only one that holds back tears when hit with that reality.
