Monday Motivation: Let Go & Let God

Hello everyone, Happy Monday 😊

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Over the weekend I did some thinking. I am a worry wart. I tend to overthink about everything in my life. I always worry about things that I have no control over and sometimes I can’t help but to do so. I know that this is not good so I have decided to make some changes.

I am Letting go and letting God. I will no longer worry about situation that I can not do nothing about. Instead I will put that energy into something more product in my life. I will leave the past in the past and move forward. I will not think about situations that are over with and worry about what I could have done to make it better. I will just continue to live my best life doing the things that makes my heart smile.

I know that I am not the only person that does this, but I no longer have the desire to do this anymore. I just want to live my life worry free and stress free. As I start this Monday, this will be one of my goals this week.

I hope that everyone’s week is filled with plenty of blessing and that many of yours goals are accomplished. Comment below and let me know if you overthink and worry about unnecessary things as well. I love to hear from you guys.

Until next time…stay positive!

  1. As humans the tendency to overthink will always come up especially when things ain’t going as planned. But like you rightly said we shouldn’t beat ourselves up over things we can’t control. Let go and let God. In every situation we should gives thanks.

  2. This is one of my favorite sayings; this and the Serenity Prayer. Life is so much easier and less complicated when we are able to put it into practice.

  5. This is so true, that most people can’t understand that if you can’t control it, it’s no use to stress over it. Thanks for the message!

  6. Thanks for writing this, and you have a great week!

I also have a tendency to overthink and worry. Bills, plans, work – you name it. Sometimes, I have to pause and remind myself that worrying is not an act of faith; it accomplishes nothing. As the rest of this week plays out, I need to take it to God and leave it there.

This is one of my favorites. Whenever I feel like I’ve done my part and I’ve done everything I could, I just leave it all to Him and let Him show me where I really am supposed to be. 😊

  8. Yes indeed. We got to let go and let God. It reminds me of Hezekiah Walker song that says let go and let God.

Indeed, why worry when God is in charge.
    Great post. Well done Toya

  14. Well done !! I often laugh, my sister and I are polar opposites. She is the overthinker and I tend to jump into things with a blind faith. I think the positivity and faith is more important but u so need a little dose of reality too!
